Reiki
Classes
The wonderful Usui System of Reiki healing is a hands-on healing
technique that uses Universal Life Energy. The Reiki healing energy
is channeled through the practitioner’s hands for treatment
of others: humans, animals, plants and food.
It is a safe, simple, natural and easy-to-learn technique. It
only requires a Reiki Master who is willing to harmonize your
body to connect to and receive the Reiki healing energy.
Once you are aligned with this wonderful energy, it is with you
for life.
- Reiki is not a sect. Reiki has no Guru’s. Reiki is not
a religion.
- Reiki is not a massage.
- Reiki allows you to work and think independently.
- Reiki requires no continuous financial contributions or time
commitments.
- Learn more about Reiki here.
Class requirements: I am willing to
start a class with one student but I will have no more than 5
students for any class that I teach.
Practice: during the training, you will be given ample time to practice what you have learned and to receive free treatments.
For additional practice, we highly recommend that you join us (totally free of charge) at the elderly homes, hospitals, rehab center and cancer hostel where we donate every month 11 days of free treatments.
For full day charity treatments, we will provide lunch (free of charge) but we require your advance confirmation to enable us to organise transport, chairs, etc...
There are 4 consecutive Reiki courses,
which can only be taught by a Reiki Master.
In Reiki-1, we will harmonize your body on 4 different levels to receive the Reiki healing energy. In this course, you will learn how to connect to this wonderful Reiki energy, how to treat yourself and how to pass it on to others. We will also teach you one symbol to call on this great healing power (like clicking an icon on your computer to start a new program)
This course takes two days and is immediately followed by the Reiki-2 level.
The course fee includes the Training Manual, the Certificate, free treatment(s), refreshments and lunch.
Reiki 2 : this level allows a more comprehensive use of Reiki to further the mental, emotional and spiritual healing processes of patients.
The energy harmonisations of this course will deepen your Reiki healing power further and enable you to treat from a distance as well as give emotional/mental healing treatments. You will learn how to focus and work on traumas, frustrations and pains from present or past experiences.
You will also be taught how to treat positive goals for your future well being. Lastly, we include a special Craneo-Sacral treatment technique,
which involves a non-manipulative spinal alignment treatment.
We teach this course during the same week as the Reiki-1.
The course fee includes the Training Manual, the Certificate, free treatment(s), refreshments and lunch.
Note: Reiki 1 and 2 are taught together during an intensive 6 day training which includes several practice days to help you build up your confidence.
During further training, you can receive Reiki-3:
Advanced Reiki Training and Reiki-4:
Master Teacher Degree.
ADVANCED REIKI TRAINING (which is the
first part of the Mastership training)
In these classes you will receive :
1. The Usui Master attunement which strengthens your Reiki energy
2. The Usui Master symbol, which increases the effectiveness of
the other symbols and can be used for healing
3. Reiki meditation to strengthen the mind and expand consciousness
4. Advanced techniques to achieve goals and resolve life lessons
5. The use of crystals and other stones with Reiki and how to
make a Reiki grid to continuously send Reiki to yourself and others
6. Reiki Aura clearing to assist in removing negative psychic
energy
This course will take 3 to 4 days and usually requires a waiting
period of several months after Reiki-2 during which time the student
should have practiced Reiki treatments diligently (at least 100
hours after the Reiki-2 attunement).
The course fee for Reiki-3 (Advanced Reiki
Training) includes the Training Manual, the Certificate,
free treatment(s) and lunches.
THE REIKI MASTER TEACHER TRAINING
1. You will receive the complete Reiki Usui and Tibetan Master
Attunement as well as instruction on giving all attunements, including
Reiki Master and the Healing Attunements.
2. You will learn the Usui Master Symbol and two Tibetan symbols
for a total of six symbols to assist you in your Reiki healing
work. This will open you even more intensely for the Universal
Life Energy....
3. You will learn additional healing techniques as well as how
to teach Reiki courses and how to harmonise students.
4. Last, but certainly not least, you will learn how to teach
Reiki to children.
Powerful healing experiences often take place during this class.
Students practice giving attunements to volunteers and to each
other, so each student receives many attunements.
Our Training Manual will give you detailed steps for giving all
attunements.
While the contents of this class will allow anyone to pass Reiki
on to others and to teach, many students actually take this training
for their own use with family and friends.
This Master-Teacher Training will take at least 7 days but I prefer
to spread this training over several weeks, thereby allowing the
student to get used to these new energies and to provide ample
time for further practice. I usually give this training in very
small classes.
The Reiki-4 Master Teacher Degree tuition
fee includes the Training Manual, the Certificate, free treatment(s),
lunches (vegetarian food) and refreshments.
Reiki Course requirements:
- To take a Reiki-1 course, you need no special training or
knowledge but a big heart and an open mind.
- To take the Reiki-2 course, you should have done the Reiki-1
course.
- The Advanced Reiki Training requires a waiting period of
several months and at least 100 hours of Reiki practice after
completing Reiki-2.
- To take the Reiki Master Teacher course, you will need to
have practiced Reiki intensively and be committed to teach this
wonderful healing system.
Class Sizes: we teach most courses
in very small classes of 1 to 6 students.
Practice: please note that for all of our trainings,
we offer many free practice opportunities, which are an important and integral part of our trainings and which help you to build up your confidence.
Languages: We teach in English, French,
Dutch or Thai.
Course material: a Syllabus or Training
Manual will be handed out to each student at no extra charge (in
English, French or Dutch)
Certificate(s): a certificate will
be issued for every course at no extra charge.
What Reiki does
is giving you a deep relaxation and well being
which will re-start your own self-healing powers.
Oral Tradition is the energetic transfer
from Teacher to student through direct contact and presence of
the REIKI Master. We do not teach Reiki via internet (which would
technically be possible) because we believe that this direct hands-on
transmission is important.
This energetic transfer happens through teaching the form of treatments,
initiations, passing on the principles, telling the history, answering
questions, and truly being with the students in the class. In
this way, the Reiki Master communicates the essence and the integrity
of the System.
Summary of Reiki Training Classes

Asian
Bio-Energetic Therapy (ABET) Classes
This
scientific treatment is a combination of several oriental holistic
healing techniques that are all non-invasive and require no machines
for diagnoses and no drugs or herbs for treatment.
These techniques take at least two months to learn. They combine
the following alternative healing systems:
- Traditional Chinese Medicine arts of Acupuncture from China
that include Diagnostic, Meridian and Moxibustion techniques
(which treat and prevent diseases by applying heat to acupoints
or other locations of the body);
- Bi-Digital O-Ring Test, Magnet and Piezo therapy from Japan;
and
- Healing Breathing from Tibet.
- Learn more about Asian Bio-Energetics here.
Educational flexibility:
we offer total educational flexibility.
Full teaching and practice time takes about 2 months depending
on the students' dilligence and performance.
Our selection criteria for the students are:
an open mind and a big heart. The final decision to accept
or refuse a student's application, will be ours. In case of our
refusal before the beginning of the course, your downpayment will
be fully reimbursed.
Classes last about 3 to 4 hours per day
and comprise 4 levels of about 120 intensive
hours (depending on the student’s diligence
and absorption capabilities)
Class requirements: I am willing to
start a class with one student but I will have no more than 5
students for any class that I teach.
Practice: Courses are both educational and practical with about 30 hours of clinical practice During the training, you will be given ample time to practice what you have learned and to receive free treatment(s).
You will have additional practice sessions at the elderly homes, hospitals and rehab centers where we donate every week at least one day for charity treatments. These observation and clinical practice hours will be included in your Certificate.
The ABET trainings are given only twice a year over a period of approx. 2 months.
This is a tough training but also very rewarding.
It will help you to diagnose health problems in yourself and others
and make the appropriate recommendations for minor life style change
to achieve major life quality improvements.
For best results, a course should be preceded (and followed) by a period of Bio-Energetic treatment observations.
We recommend strongly that you do not to take any other classes at the same time, because our classes are very intensive and you will need time to study and assimilate the information.
We give out notes of the more difficult lessons and of course a Certificate upon completion. You can bring a tape recorder if you feel more comfortable with it. Usually, we teach 5 days a week.
For a more detailed Course Syllabus, please click here.
The selection criteria for the students are: an open mind and a big heart because not just everyone can learn this healing technique.
I personally had to observe Dr Than Van Le during 3 months of practice because I was obviously not ready at that time (smile)..
Classes last about 3 to 4 hours per day and comprise 4 levels of about 30 intensive hours each (depending on the student’s diligence and absorption capabilities). Some days last longer. This training also includes some video teachings by Dr Le himself and another 30 hours of practice which are a vital part of it.
Usually, we teach in the mornings 3 to 4 hours a day, 5 days a week thereby allowing the students enough time to study the information in the afternoon. Some days are fully days when we visit villages to give free treatments.
The complete training may take 7 to 9 weeks, or a lifetime, depending on how you look at it.
Every class includes free diagnostics and free treatment of each student for life.
Generally speaking, ABET training is a challenge on the educational, physical, emotional and spiritual level but the results are most wonderful… (smile) and they will change your life for ever!
You will first learn how to take care of yourself and activate your own healing powers. After that, you will learn how to take care of others.
When I discovered this scientific healing therapy over 14 years ago, I was managing a pharmaceutical company in Bangkok and I did not believe in all this stuff… but, then I saw that it somehow helped people even if I did not understand then, how or why…
Before taking the Asian Bio-Energetics Course, we always recommend to have a diagnostic and treatment session to enable you to experience this wonderful energy.
Language: We prefer to do the training
in English but do speak Dutch, French, Thai and German.
The Bio-Digital O-Ring Test (BIDORT)
we use in ABET is a muscle test developed at the university of
Kyoto in Japan. You will find summaries of BIDORT research papers
on Internet. Just search as BIDORT JAPAN.
In ABET, we also use a Craneo-Sacral therapy
in a very effective way, which is taught during the Advanced Levels.

12) Can I buy any books through the College?
13) What about assessment? Will I have to sit for lots of written exams?
1) Q: What are the entry requirements for your courses?
A: our entry requirements for the ABET training are adequate English understanding and a real desire to help others, but your life experiences and dedication are also important.
Regardless of your educational qualifications, you will be considered on the basis of your work and life experience.
Although the average age of our students is between 35 to 40, we have qualified students well outside that age range, the oldest being 69 years old.
We select our students on an equal opportunities basis: students are selected for their suitability as individuals and not for their membership of any particular group.
2) Q: I am an overseas student, is there anything else I need to consider?
A: When you have an offer of a place on our courses it is your responsibility to organise your tourist visa (at the Thai Embassy or Consulate), your accommodation in Chiangmai and your transport before the start of training.
If English is not your first language you will need to convince us that you are capable of undertaking this training in English because you will need to take a lot of notes.
Please note that accommodation expenses at local (clean) guesthouses amount to approx. 5000 THB per month (approx. 100 Euros or 160 US$ and that food expenses (without alcohol) would be no more than double this amount per month especially if you eat Thai food.
3) Q: Can I get any financial help with the course fees?
A: Yes, although we are not a state-funded organisation, we do provide a deferred payment system for those students that find the total course fees to be a challenge.
We usually require a minimum deposit of 20,000 THB. The balance can be settled by regular installments over the next 12 months.
4) Q: Who teaches the courses?
A: The ABET training is given by Cory Croymans-Plaghki who is the founder of the Asian Healing Arts Center, and has over 14 years of intense practice and teaching experiences.
You will find that Cory’s knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject goes a long way towards producing the approachable, stimulating atmosphere that students can appreciate.
Graduates tell us that this opportunity to access the teachers' combined wisdom and skills is invaluable to them in developing their own approach to practice.
To find out more about Cory, check out the website on the heading ABOUT US.
The Reiki trainings are given by several teachers.
5) Q: I still need to earn a living during the training. Is this possible?
A: Sorry, this is not possible in Thailand where Work Permit Regulations are rather stringent.
ABET courses are normally given only twice a year during a period of 2 months each. Study consists of lectures, clinical and practical experience, and daily home study of several hours. We teach from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, Clinical sessions, however, are often run outside these hours.
6) Q: What do you teach?
A: The full ABET training consists of a total theoretical training of 120 hours plus at least 30 hours of clinical practice or observation.
ABET will help you to diagnose health problems in yourself and others
and make the appropriate recommendations for minor life style change
to achieve major life quality improvements.
You will learn how to diagnose, how to identify, use and combine about 60 acupuncture points as well as the practical use of magnets, piezo’s, moxa and your own hand (which is still the most perfect tool given to you by the Creator).
Whichever tool you use, you would take into account your patient’s physical condition and their constitution, as well as their emotional responses. We go step by step.
This description highlights only a small number of ways of using ABET but, if you think of it as a toolbox, what is important is to be able to use all the tools in your toolbox skillfully.
In its authentic form, ABET uses many tools, as and when they are called for and without conscious separation. This, therefore, is how we teach them, and you will be fully equipped to practice all of them.
For a more detailed list of the topics, please refer to the attached ABET Class Syllabus.
7) Q: Is the Patient/Practitioner relationship important?
A: We believe that this relationship is of vital importance. You will be encouraged to develop a deep understanding of your patients and of your own practice through sharing your observations and reflections and through receiving one-to-one guidance. You will learn how to use your new knowledge and skills to make good and effective relationships with patients. This adaptation of ancient wisdom to modern-day relationships is exciting and inspirational even to those already experienced in working with people.
You will learn how to focus your treatment on the original cause of the health problems and encourage your patients to change some of their lifestyles as required by their health condition.
In the process, you will learn a great deal about yourself, and this self-understanding will be woven back into your practice as increased skill and understanding of the patient.
8) Q: Will I change as a person?
A: Without a doubt.
You may find that your work on the ABET and Reiki trainings brings up personal issues that need your attention.
We encourage and support you in this work, as we often find that personal development goes hand in hand with your evolution into a self-aware and effective practitioner.
9) Q: Will I be able to make a living when I graduate?
A: Potential students often ask this question - for obvious reasons!
We encourage our students to work out exactly what they want and to go for that: a very high proportion succeed.
We believe that if you continue to focus strongly and talk enthusiastically to people about what you do, your practice will thrive.
We recognise that perhaps one of the most difficult times for our students is when they leave and begin to practice.
To address this we have an excellent “after sales service” which is only an e-mail away.
We provide just the right amount of hand-holding and, by the time our students leave us, they are delighted with their independence and confident about their competence.
As for the financial income you may generate, we ask you to think carefully about how much money is “enough” for you.
10) Q: What is the government’s view of Chinese medicine?
A: In more and more western countries, the Health Ministries are working with the acupuncture and herb professions to establish a system of legal regulation that will safeguard the public interest.
We welcome this because it will mean a well-deserved increase in credibility.
However, keep in mind that neither in ABET nor in Reiki, do we prescribe any herbs or perform any body invasion procedures (like with acupuncture needles).
11) Q: I have covered part of TCM training elsewhere, can I claim exemption?
A: The short answer is sorry but no.
We do not teach TCM but ABET, which may use the TCM basics but is not TCM.
We nevertheless like to receive a copy of your academic record and life experience.
12) Q: Can I buy any TCM books through your organisation?
A: Sorry, no we do not offer this service. As a matter of fact, we prefer that you do not read any books about TCM, which may only confuse you when you are training with us.
13) Q: What about assessment? Will I have to sit lots of written exams?
A: ABET is a practical skill and, where appropriate, we teach and assess your work practically and daily. For example, a point location class is taught by marking points on real bodies, usually your own or those of your classmates!
You will also be assessed practically and are only taught in small groups with close supervision.
Likewise, when you are in clinical environment, you will be taught and assessed in a very practical way.
A more theoretical unit, such as Chinese Medicine Theory, is taught in a more lecture-based format and is assessed using a basic written exam and projects during and after the training.
We always tailor the assessment to suit the subject being learnt.
